This restaurant/ hostal rural is in the heart of the Valencian Mountains just 20 minutes from several award winning beaches and situated on the edge of a national park. Green and lush, we enjoy the best of all worlds - pure mountain air and spring water from the font, the best Valencian traditional cooking, cooked by masters with over 50 years experience, live music, a busy bustling bar and of course tranquility when you stay with us in one of our eight poolside guest suites. If you love the countryside, then we’ve got it all here for you - many published walks abound, cycling (road and mountain biking) and rock climbing can be found in abundance here. Horse riding enthusiasts and quad bikers are also catered for as are the tranquility-seekers. For those wanting a bit of pizazz, fear not! were only 60 minutes from Benidorm and water parks galore - we’re even 2.5 hrs. from skiing resorts too, so it really doesn’t get any better if you want variety. The best the region has to offer - there’s good reason the Spanish travel 50 miles to eat at our restaurant and spend the day by the pool - not to mention the ex-pats and the Madrellenos (Madrid) - why not ask them when you’re here! Here is where we put on the live music and discos and of course food from our bar menu. Disabled access is standard and for the winter months it boasts an open log fire too. Guest Ales are available on special occasions plus we have a wide range of international beers - dont forget to try one of our carajillos! (coffee with brandy) or for that luxury moment a baileys coffee! Weekends are exceptionally busy, with “local” visitors from Ontinyent (50 miles away) and beyond, booking in advance to enjoy home-cooked traditional Paellas in the traditional way. Our chefs have on average over 50 years experience each cooking Paellas, using only the finest locally source ingredients. The rice is grown locally in the Cullera valley, the means are from local free-range farms, spices grown in the village itself and the water used in the rice from our very own font - pure, sand-filters and straight out of the mountain. Pure extra virgin olive oil, pressed from Oilves grown in the farms around the village are also used also add that something special. Theres good reason we’re packed with Spanish families at the weekends - make sure you book in advance and dont forget, a traditional Paella takes about and hour and a half to cook ! Our a la carte menu also features a range of local dishes, from Fideuas, roasted lambs, grilled steaks and fish , Tapas and vegetarian options - you can pop in and eat from our bar menu outside of main meal times too - relax with a glass of local wine or a vintage Rioja and snack on Sepia (cuttlefish), boquerones (sardines in extra virgin olive oil and vinaigrette) or russian salad, rolls - the list goes on - whatever’s fresh at the markets in the morning, thats whats on the bar menu! - Fresh and cooked to order.
