TicoNeo Pura Vida, S. A. is our jet ski rental and water sports business in Costa Rica. We are established on Playa Conchal, but the business is easy to pack up and move to any beach you choose. This is a turnkey business ~ you can start making money the day you buy it.

Our machines are actually wave runners, but “jetski” is a more recognized term here. We have a 2007 supercharged FX Cruiser and a 2003 Yamaha GP1300R. We use them as rentals, and to take people out on tours of the islands and nearby beaches. The water sports we offer are tows on an inflatable banana float and inner tube, water skis, wake boards, wave boards, and wake skates. We also have towropes, gloves, and 10 life jackets. Double trailer is included. We also have a Hobie 16 catamaran as a rental.

The trailer for the catamaran and double trailer for the wave runners.

The corporation and cedula juridica necessary to operate a business here. These are legal documents that not only protect you, but also make the business legitimate.

Cell phones. Getting your own takes a lot of time here, so we will just give you ours with the phone numbers already associated with the business. We got these phones through the corporation, so they stay with the business. All you have to do is pay the monthly bill, which will start out at $0, of course.

Cars. A 1993 Toyota 4Runner. 4WD, CD player, and a 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser, 4WD, heavy duty, CD player, soft top, winch (see picture). Both cars will pull the trailers. You could also make a little money on the side pulling other cars out of the sand with the Land Cruiser!

This is an easy business to walk into. We’ll be happy to spend as much time with you as you need to get familiar with the machines, the business, and the area.

Location:

We are located on Playa Conchal in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Our business is set up right on the beach and is the first thing tourists see as they walk out of the Hotel Paradisus. This area is also known as Bahia Brasilito.

Expansion potential:

If you choose to stay on Conchal, the potential to expand is only limited by what you can think of to add ~ more jet skis, another catamaran, a tiki bar, live music…whatever. There is also great potential to move to another beach and expand the business in any way your imagination will allow. There are plenty of hotels that would welcome the chance to collaborate with you to increase their business and yours.

Competition / Market:

There is another rental company that does business through the hotel. Rentals through this company are not included in hotel prices and their prices are higher than ours. They do not offer water sports and do not have a banana float (honestly the most popular thing with kids and locals). We get plenty of business despite having these guys just down the beach from us. Reasons for selling:

We wanted to have an adventure in Costa Rica and make a little money doing it. We did it and it was an invaluable experience, but we miss our families and are ready to head back to the states.

Trading hours:

You choose. We're usually there from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm 4 or 5 days a week, but this is one of those cool jobs where you do whatever you want.
