Expansion potential:

We have not been promoting the palms to garden centres, as we have been unable to satisfy demand in our core business (interior landscapers), sales to the public is also a possibility, using Trademe.
We also have Resource Consent for another 900sqm greenhouse, so that the production of other lines can be explored.

Competition / Market:

There is no other company, to the best of my knowledge, growing kentia palms to same size and quality standards in the country. It takes 3 years to produce a fully grown palm from a seedling, so there is a considerable barrier to entry for anyone else contemplating the production of kentias.

Support & training:

I am compiling as much information as I can in an Operations Manual that will be supplied to the new owners. Plus we will stay locally for a period to help with familiarising the new owners with the systems and customers. After this we will be available via email to answer any questions that may arise.
