One of the best-loved beaches in Wales was put up for sale yesterday - for a cool £377,750.
Sun-drenched Saundersfoot Beach in West Wales is one of just a few beaches across Britain that are privately owned.
The lucky buyer will get all of the beach above the high tide mark - everything below belongs to the Queen. But the new owner will also get a thriving ice-cream business, including a fleet of vans and a chalet.
Owner Mark Lindfell, 49, said "I have always enjoyed telling people I own a beach but now it is someone else's turn.
"Saundersfoot still attracts people for traditional family holidays - and ice cream is as popular as ever."
Included in the asking price is the license to sell ice-cream at four neighbouring beaches.
Former oil company engineer Mr Lindfell and his Singapore-born wife Annie, 37, are selling up to move back to her homeland. The beach has gong on sale on the internet at BusinessesForSale.com.
And as temperatures hit the upper-eighties yesterday - potential beach bums were showing a lot of interest. A spokeswoman for the estate agents said "It is very tempting to a lot of people to own a stretch of golden sands. Just think of all the sandcastles you could make."
